I want to run the license server on Gentoo Linux. However, there are no .tar.gz files for Gentoo on the license server page. How can I go about installing the license server?

I recently got the Qualnet research license. I downloaded the license server for Ubuntu 8 and am running it on a 64 bit Ubuntu 8.04 LTS server machine. The server is refusing to start without showing any errors. Dont know what is the issue. Is the license server compatible with only 32 bit machines.

I am a student of NIT Rourkela, Orissa, India. I need Qualnet software for my research project at VNIT, Nagpur. I had downloaded Qualnet 4.5.1 from Software Vault NIT Rourkela along with the licence file "client-192.168.1.253.lic". Now I am staying at VNIT Nagpur and need to use Qualnet but I cannot connect to the server to evaluate my license. The following error messege is shown.

When we try to access the Qualnet license from a license server using the command line on a relatively slow or congested internet link, we cannot access the Qualnet license even though our Qualnet license server does have an available license. This is due to the short timeout built-in to the license acquisition process. Can this timeout be increased so that this problem is resolved for slow/congested links?

It appears that the MAC address of your computer does not match the one found in the license file. Please replace the license with one that has the approprate matching MAC address for your computer.

I submitted a request for a commercial evaluation copy, but it has been more than 12 hours and I haven´t received a response. Is there a minimum processing time for these requests, or is there anything wrong with my sumbission? I used my institutional mail (@ieee.org), not the common one. Please advise. Thank you.

I and my colleagues were using QualNet 4.5.1 from May 2009.
Before upgrading to version 5.0, multiple users could turn on the IDE and check/modify their scenario files though only one user is allowed to "run" the scenario.
