I installed qualnet 4.5 version and compiled and it compilation was fine. Now when I try to run any scneario from GUI or I run qualnet default.config from the command prompt it throws a windows error crashing saying "qualnet.exe has encountered problem and needs to close. i tried re installing and compiling again but itgave me the same error again. I am running university version.

Re: qualnet.exe has encountered a problemtry it again by first clean all objs through "nmake clean" and then compile it by "nmake".
Re: qualnet.exe has encountered a problemHi,
I have tried nmake clean and then recompiling with nmake but still gives me same run time error when I run a scenario. Could it be a license issue? I dont think so because it says "Attempting license checkout.. success" n then the run time error window. I would really appreciate help on this.
Re: qualnet.exe has encountered a problemTo add to my last post, here is what I tried again now: uninstalled qualnet.. re installed it.. installed sensor network library.. made necessary changes in Makefile to include sensor network lib.. clean all obj files and re compiled it.. all works fine.
I created a simple wireless ad hoc net scenario.. N when i ran it said necesary sensor lib is not included.. but then I did include and recompiled.. and now I run into " run time error.. qualnet.exe error." On debugging it says: First chance exception at 0x0043bb31 in qualnet.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location 0x0000004." I have no idea why is this. Please help
Re: qualnet.exe has encountered a problemI think you need to contact SNT again to recheck your installer.... may be it gets corrupted.
Check one more thing: once installed you will find a pre-compiled generated qualnet.exe in bin folder. first try to run the any scenario with it. Note that at this point you have not do any compilation activity. Also ensure that yuo are using correct makefile with respect to your VC version.
Re: qualnet.exe has encountered a problemWhen I installed it first and run any in built scnearios they did run. I created a very simple scenario of two devices and it run. But then I had to create a scenrio for mobile ad hoc networks and included sensr network library and compiled it again. now after haveing created the scenario when I run it gives me run time error.
Re: qualnet.exe has encountered a problemattached is the qualnet default.config error I am getting.
Re: qualnet.exe has encountered a problemPlease upload the complte scenario including .app, .nodes, .config file etc. This would help other forum members in debugging.

Re: qualnet.exe has encountered a problemHello Support Team,
The problem is not with particular scenario but whenever I create any new scenario i get a run time error. I am using Qualnet 4.5 university version, MSD R2 2003 and visual c++ 2008 express edition, java jdk 5.
Re: qualnet.exe has encountered a problemQualNet 4.5 supports Microsoft Visual Studio 2002 or 2003 and Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 or Visual C++ 2005 Express Edition.
For more details, refer to section “2.2 Compiling QualNet” in document “QualNet-4.5-ProgrammersGuide.pdf”. Thanks, Tech Support This information is provided as a courtesy by the QualNet Technical Support Team. We regret we cannot respond to private messages on this forum.
