Software Engineer

SNT is looking for entry-level and experienced software engineers to join our engineering and services teams. Your work will involve developing network scenarios, programming networking protocols and running large-scale simulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Design network scenarios to analyze the best case and worst case performance of wired and wireless networks using high-performance multi-core and cluster computers.
  • Design and develop simulation models for networking protocols based on standards
  • Create new tools and technologies to improve the design, analysis and deployment of wireless networks.
  • Develop, test and evaluate network scenarios that integrate and interoperate EXata-based software virtual networks (SVN) with real hardware (VoIP phones, routers and other customer equipment)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science or Computer Engineering. MS or PhD is a plus.
  • Proficiency in programming with C or C++.
  • Basic knowledge/awareness of TCP/IP protocol stack and OSI network model

Additional / Plus Qualifications:

  • Experience with discrete event simulation tools like QualNet, EXata, ns-2 or others.

Software Engineer (15-1032.00)

Serve as member of technical staff engaged in the design, development, integration and testing of simulation software for wireless and other computer networking systems, including responsibility for the development and testing of network simulation and emulation software for ad hoc wireless and wired networks utilizing various packet communication systems, device drivers and protocols in both Windows and Linux-based environments; the conducting of software quality assurance and stress tests; and the provision of systems implementation and technical support services.

U.S. or foreign Master’s or equivalent degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering or related field.

 

LTE Simulation Engineer

Lead a team to design and implement the PHY, MAC and other layers of a high-fidelity LTE simulation.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with customers and partners to set the technical requirements.
  • Lead the design and implementation of selected LTE (Release 9) features.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
  • Proficiency in programming with C or C++.
  • Strong knowledge/awareness of wireless networking systems, especially cellular networks like UMTS, WiMAX or LTE.
  • Experience with working on PHY or MAC layer protocols.

Web developer (PHP, MySQL, SugarCRM)

Scalable Network Technologies, Inc. is seeking a full-time web developer.

Responsibilities:

  • modify/customize and maintain the SugarCRM system, company website and the web-based internal licensing and customer download system
  • write scripts and small web projects

Qualifications:

  • Database (MySQL, SQL)
  • Web programming (PHP, Apache, HTML/CSS, JavaScript/AJAX)
  • Overall LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP/Perl) experience of 2 years or more
  • Experience of customizing/modifying SugarCRM is highly preferable

Additional Qualifications

  • 2 or more years of solid experience on web development and business process experience
  • List and description of example sites/projects is required
  • 2 References will be requested after initial phone screen
  • Requires US citizenship or permanent residency (greencard).
