QualNet University Program

Key Benefits
  • Substantial discounts on software and support for eligible institutions
  • An opportunity to participate in annual conferences and code exchange

Designed to make QualNet software and services more accessible to academic researchers and professors, the QualNet University Program is open to top academic institutions worldwide. The QualNet University Program (QUP) offers 1-seat research licenses and multi-seat teaching licenses of QualNet Developer at substantially reduced prices.

QUP also has a special support program to meet the unique service requirements of academia. Affordable and streamlined, this program facilitates collaboration between QualNet users. QUP was created to address the common concerns of academia, most importantly, keeping the cost of software ownership down. In this end, QUP members support one another in an open developers forum.

QualNet Developer licenses are provided to QualNet University Program members at prices designed for research labs and teaching budgets. In addition to software, support and training are available to QUP members worldwide at a great discount.

To participate in the QualNet University Program, follow these steps:

  1. Please review the QualNet University Program requirements.
  2. Join the QualNet Community Forums (online message board). To join QUP, you must register for the General QualNet Forum with a valid University-provided email address.
  3. Fill out the QualNet University Program Membership Application, which requires your QualNet Community Forum username and password for submission. If you are currently a student, you must provide the name of a faculty sponsor to join QUP. This allows SNT to keep track of shared licenses and helps QUP members network with one another. The application will ask you to submit a 1-page research summary so that we know what you plan to do with QualNet. Sign it and fax it back to us.
  4. You will receive an email from SNT. If your organization qualifies for the program, you will also be asked to fill out a license server registration agreement for QualNet. Sign it and fax it back to us.
  5. Once your license agreement and project goals are received by SNT and we have verified the placement of your QUP Web Button, we will send you a QualNet license and instructions on downloading the software.

To renew your QualNet University Program membership:

  1. Please log in here.
  2. You will need to tell us what you've been doing with your license(s). Follow the directions and we will send you your new license file.

Note: To add members from your organization to QUP, please ask them to join the QualNet Community Forum and register, indicating they are a member of your research team (steps 1 & 2). Your colleagues will be able to access the QUP Members Only areas of the website within 48 hours of registration.
