L-3's Training Systems Use Network Emulation to Teach Kill-Chain Decision Making

Network‐centric warfare platforms are being developed that use communication as a force multiplier. So much power is being created, but soldiers must learn how to use it effectively. L‐3 Communications is building a training system based on SNT technology to support kill‐chain decision making.

A kill chain is a sequence of players, starting from a guy on the ground, up through the chain of command, out to other intel links like satellite and predators, and then out through satcom links to the weapons  systems.  The kill chain is designed so that as little as a few minutes could separate the intial intelligence discovery from the final missile launch.
