Culver City, CA (16 July 2015) — SCALABLE Network Technologies, Inc. (SCALABLE), a leader in wireless network design and optimization tools, announced today that Tim Flynn, Rear Admiral, U.S. Navy (retired) has been appointed Vice President, Federal Program Development. In this new role, Flynn will work with SCALABLE’s Sales and Services teams to expand the software and services business within the Federal Government. As part of the Executive Management team, Flynn will leverage his extensive industry experience to help shape and refine SCALABLE’s strategy for working with the Department of Defense.

Before retiring from the Navy, Tim was the Program Executive Officer for Enterprise Information Systems (PEO-EIS). In this role, he oversaw a portfolio of large-scale information technology programs designed to enable common business processes and provide standard information technology capabilities to the Department of the Navy. After his promotion to Rear Admiral in 2005, he served as Vice Commander, SPAWAR with worldwide responsibility for command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems for the Navy and Joint Warfighter. Since retiring from the Navy in 2009, Tim has held senior business development roles at Accenture and Scientific Research Corp and has served as an independent consultant to various defense companies.
A native of New Orleans, LA, Tim received his commission upon graduating from the United States Naval Academy with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Engineering in 1979 and completed nuclear propulsion plant operator training in 1980. He later earned Master of Science degrees in National Security Affairs (Technical Intelligence) and Mechanical Engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School.
