Multiverse Capabilities Increase Functionality of Experiment Designer

Culver City, CA (November 18, 2021) — SCALABLE Network Technologies, Inc. (SCALABLE), a leader in network digital twin solutions, announced today the availability of EXata 7.3.2, featuring our latest product enhancements, including Multiverse support in Experiment Designer.

EXata 7.3.2 enhances our web-based Experiment Designer by introducing BatchRun/Multiverse feature allowing the user to create multiple experiments and run them simultaneously. Additionally, queued experiments can be executed automatically, increasing user productivity.  The upgraded EXata Experiment Designer allows the user to assemble experiments from pre-existing configurations (including scenarios, environment, networks, traffic, cyber configurations, mobility) and define analysis objectives, execution environment, and run-time mappings to live components and to other simulators. The Experiment Designer also serves as a web-based portal into a virtual laboratory tying the EXata high fidelity network simulation together with live and constructive components to enable live, virtual and constructive experiments.

We continue to expand product partnerships to enhance our integrated solutions. EXata currently supports interfaces to multiple commercial and Government-Off-The-Shelf wargaming and mission simulators. With this release, EXata also supports integration with Command Professional Edition 2.01 (Command PE) by Matrix Games. This allows EXata nodes to be connected to Command PE entities/radios and gives the ability for communication among Command PE platforms to be simulated using EXata. It allows for greater simulated network fidelity over what Command PE allows alone. Using this EXata-enhanced Command PE capability, platforms can share information using the military communications network being modeled in the environment they’re operating in under the conditions specified by the wargame planners.  Activities that can disrupt communications such as cyber/EW attacks, network overload, weather, terrain, etc. are incorporated into the wargame scenario in EXata to assess their impact and ensure they’re accounted for in the post-game analysis. This EXata-enhanced Command PE capability enables operators to evaluate operational plans and logistical approaches more rigorously by incorporating real-world cyber, communications, and network effects on mission effectiveness in an intuitive and efficient manner.

Delay-Tolerant Networking (DTN)

  • network architecture designed to address the lack of continuous network connectivity and the resulting lack of persistent end-to-end paths in heterogeneous networks

Dynamic Enabling/Disabling of Stats DB

  • capability allows the user to enable or disable recording of simulation data into a table only at specific times and/or only for specific nodes

EXata Shell (EXSH)

  • supports new commands to enable and disable recording


 EXata 7.3.2 network design and optimization tools are available now. They are supported on Microsoft Windows 10, RHEL/CentOS 8, Ubuntu 16, and Ubuntu 18.04 LTS. The upgrades are available free of charge to all customers covered under a current software maintenance agreement via their online download page.
