Network Scenario Rendering
Scenario Player is an included module with the EXata simulation platform that provides high-resolution 2D and 3D views of scenarios as they are executed by the simulation engine. Using modern high-performance game rendering technology, Scenario Player enables you to visualize the behavior of the communications process as a modeled scenario unfolds.
Scenario Player is based on a modern high-performance graphical rendering engine used extensively in the gaming industry. It processes the results of a scenario simulation in real time, displaying the network elements and the communications flows between them. If there is a terrain definition as part of the scenario, it is displayed in high resolution, and the mobile network elements move realistically across the terrain.
Scenario Player provides very high quality visuals of the elements and their interactions during a scenario. The display is suitable for presentation to senior managers who need to quickly understand whether the network, the networked systems and the applications will work as expected.
When you play a scenario, the Player user interface allows you to pan and zoom through the display while it is running or when you hit the Pause button. You can move through the environment to inspect different elements, or pull back and toggle into 2D mode where you get a direct “look down” view of the whole picture.
Scenario Player reads the scenario configuration files that you create in EXata. The Player provides very high quality visuals of the elements and their interactions during a scenario, suitable for presentation to senior managers who may not have the technical background to understand exactly what is happening underneath but who can certainly recognize whether the comms are working as expected.
